We are offering two Part Two courses in 2024
Residential Part Two and Online Part Two
Part Two – Residential
The residential Part Two course will be held at Moulton College, Northampton
Weekend one:
Thursday, 11 April (evening), all day Friday 12, Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 April 2024
Weekend two:
Thursday, 8 August (afternoon and evening), all day Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 August 2024
Cost: Residential Part Two course £1495 (including accomodation and meals at Moulton College)
(Please pay deposit on application, and be aware that the balance will be due by 27 February 2024)
Part Two Course – Online
The online Part Two course will be delivered via Zoom
Weekend one:
Thursday, 21 March (evening), all day Friday 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March 2024
Weekend two:
Thursday 6 June (afternoon and evening), all day Friday 7 June, Saturday 8 June and Sunday 9 June 2024
Cost: Part Two Online course is £995
(Please pay deposit on application and be aware that the balance will be due by 7 February 2024)
What does the Part Two course include?
Clicker training – teaching novel behaviour
Training vs behaviour – where does training stop and behaviour start?
Creating Competent Trainers – Learning Cycle
Reviewing the class and your life/work balance – looking after yourself as well as your clients
Progressing exercises and proofing the cue – taking it to the next level and ensuring the dog really understands
Training the assistance dog – fun exercises for dog and owner
Breed specific challenges – understanding the need for different approaches
Creating Competent Trainers – helping your clients to become better trainers
Challenging dogs and owners and how to deal with some of the common problems in class
Teaching an owner with a disability – how to adapt exercises to the physical needs of your client

1. Please read the Terms & Conditions before paying your non-refundable deposit
2. Click on the appropriate ‘Part Two’ button to pay your deposit
3. When you have paid the deposit, you will be sent an email confirming the payment has been received by Stripe and giving you a link to the application form. Please keep an eye out for this email (including checking your ‘spam’ folder). It will be sent fairly quickly.
4. Complete the application form for the course you have paid the deposit for.
Once we receive your deposit and application form, we will confirm your place on the course. Please allow at least three working days for this email to be sent.

Terms & Conditions
A non-refundable deposit of £250 is required with your booking. Once Stripe has received your payment you will be sent an email inviting you to complete an online application form. Once both deposit and application form has been received by APDT you will be sent a confirmation of your place on the course (please allow at least three working days for this email to be sent). The remaining balance is due by 7 February 2024 for the Online course, and 27 February 2024 for the Residential course.

Our Foundation Course is for people who have little or no experience of dog training instructing.

Our Part Two course is for people who have successfully completed the Foundation course.

Our Advanced course is for instructors with at least one year’s experience of teaching classes.
